If using store-bought crispy tofu, skip this step. Otherwise, press and cube firm tofu, toss with cornstarch and spices, and bake or pan-fry until crispy.

Steam fresh spinach until wilted, about 3-5 minutes. Alternatively, microwave frozen spinach according to package instructions.
